Columbian Huila El Bombo

$11.50$15.50

A medium bodied coffee with lighter background flavors of Peach, Pear,  Honey, and Lychee.  Our preferred roast for this coffee is just beyond first crack to soften the brightness just a little while preserving the subtle flavor notes.

Description

This coffee has a medium body with a nice brightness that creates a nice juicy feel and taste.   We roast this coffee just past first crack to round out the brightness a little while preserving the vibrancy of the flavors in this bean.  Flavor notes are lighter, including  Peach, Pear,  Honey, and Lychee. The El Bombo region is situated in the municipality of Pitalito, a notable coffee-growing area of Huila that has claimed several Colombia Cup of Excellence awards over the years. Temperatures range from 16-20ºC and the terrain, with its gently rolling hills, is friendlier to farming efforts compared to the steep slopes commonly found across the country. Coffee production here is very much a family-oriented venture.

Absolutely great tasting and the aroma is off the charts

Is this coffee caffeine free?

Thanks for the review!! This coffee is not a decaf, so it has caffeine.

Fave go to

Got a lot of love, review, and recommended customers for this! Always a hit when I serve it to meetings and gatherings as well as daily go to. Warning! It’ll be hard to go back to regular store coffee after you tried it.

Thank you Erma for the review, we just wanted to note that Erma purchased the Columbia Huila Supremo, so this review would be for that coffee.

Very smooth and flavorful

I give it five stars. It was smooth but has a strong flavor a combination I always look for in a Colombian coffee. I used a fine grind with an aero press. Plan to try in French press next. I will definitely buy again and highly recommend

Nice and smooth and medium kick.

I shared some El Bombo with friends after a great ribeye dinner. The coffee was smooth, the acidity was mild, which was good after a heavy main course.
Recently, I got together with friends whom I Gifted some Westminster street coffee Decaf. It was perfect at 10 pm on a cold snowy night in January 2024.
